Most nerves before a first permanent makeup appointment come from not knowing what happens in the room. So here is the whole appointment, step by step, exactly as it runs in my studio.
STEP ONE: THE CONVERSATION
We start by talking - about the look you want, the makeup you wear daily, your skin, your health, and anything you are worried about. You will fill in a consultation form covering medical history, because some conditions and medications genuinely matter for healing. Nothing touches your skin until every question of yours is answered.
STEP TWO: DESIGN AND MAPPING
Next comes the part clients enjoy most: the design. I measure and map the shape against your bone structure and natural symmetry, then draw the proposed brow on with pencil. You see the exact shape in the mirror, standing, in natural light - and we adjust until you love it. Nothing is tattooed that you have not already seen on your face.
STEP THREE: NUMBING AND THE FIRST PASS
The skin is fully numbed before treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching, and many are surprised how comfortable it is. The first pass places the initial strokes or shading; then a second application of numbing keeps the rest of the session easy.
STEP FOUR: AFTERCARE AND THE RETOUCH PLAN
You leave with clear written aftercare, my contact details for any question during healing, and a retouch booked six to eight weeks out. That second visit completes the treatment - skin heals unevenly by nature, and the retouch is where the result becomes truly durable.
