WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS WHEN
YOU GET YOUR EYEBROWS
MICROBLADED?
1. The area is cleaned and prepared for
treatment. The brow shape is defined
and any excess hairs removed.
2. I'll use my specific measuring tools
to map out the area around the brows
taking into consideration face shape,
symmetry, facial features etc.
3. Then I begin the needling process -
gently implanting the pigment via
featherweight strokes. Each stroke is a
superficial cut in the skin where the
colour pigment seeps in and settles.
The needles only penetrate the surface
layer of the skin. If there is any discomfort
at this stage, we add quick layer of
numbing cream to the area which will
become effective after 5 minutes.
WHY IS THERE A TOP UP SESSION
AND WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN?
The top up session happens after 4-6 weeks. This is the time where I can assess the first steps, and define the shape, add in any further strokes or a darker pigment if preferred.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR
TREATMENT:
WHY IS THERE A TOP UP SESSION
AND WHEN DOES THIS HAPPEN?
The top up session happens after 4-6 weeks. This is the time where I can assess the first steps, and define the shape, add in any further strokes or a darker pigment if preferred.
At the point of the reveal when you see your new brows for the first time, the overall appearance may be more vibrant, darker in colour, however still very sophisticated.
During the first 48 hours your brows will oxidise and the colour will become darker and the brow will appear bolder.
After this stage is complete you may experience some flaking of the skin around the brow area that can continue for up to 2 weeks. During this flaking stage, be careful not to pick, scratch or pull at the loose skin and let it come away from the brow naturally.
As each hair stroke heals individually you can experience some patches but this is to be expected and will be rectified at your 4/6 week touch up session.
Once the flaking has stopped your brows may appear extremely light at first, the colour is still settling into your skin at this point. At 4 weeks you will see the true colour settled and healed into your skin.
It is important to be aware of the stages of the healing process and know that it is normal and to be expected.
